Despite the threat of rain from the forcasters we had a lovely night to run around Churchill Park and surrounds with a great turn out on one of the slightly less central maps. Thanks to Bruce for an interesting set of courses with many people commenting on enjoying the route choice challenges he provided. The cows were their usual docile selves – hard to believe they are the same species as those on Hamlins Hill!! Our thanks also to Churchill Park School for allowing us to incorporate their grounds into the event – it was great to see quite a few of their pupils coming along for a run. We look forward to seeing you all again.
Next week the event is on TUESDAY at Western Springs, starting from the Zoo car park, Motions Rd. At this time of the year there will be lots of baby birds around the lake so it is a great place to picnic after your run.
It is a busy weekend ahead for all the club orienteers with the  Auckland Orienteering Champs on Saturday and Sunday – all the very best to all taking part – Enjoy!!
