It was a lovely evening for orienteering tonight. The courses were a lot closer in style to what we often get in the forest. There are always a polarising of comments after a Hamlins Hill event – for many it is one of the highlights of the year but some are not quite so appreciative of this rather less manicured map. It is, however, becoming more and more attractive as all the planting matures. Thanks to Scott for the challenging courses.
Next week the event is back to WEDNESDAY, in Waiatarua, starting from the parking area off Abbotts Way (close to the entrance to the Remuera Golf Course). A much flatter map than we had tonight but this is compensated for by rather longer courses.
