SummerNav
Point England Reserve
Event: 2
2019-10-31
Planner: Alina Smirnova - Controller: Kate Smirnova
It was very surprising tonight to see the usually mild Point England reserve had ghosts and pumpkins staring out at us and during the course of the evening many of the controls suffered an invasion of very large black spiders! Our thanks to Alina and Kate for not only providing 5 great courses plus a memory course but adding in the Halloween touch. We hope you all enjoyed yourself and recovered from your frights by enjoying one of the sweets also provided by Kate.
Our apologies to those who went through control HX after it had gone missing. A thorough search at the end of the evening revealed it across a 2 metre high fence but it took the best part of an hour to manage to recover it. By the time the controls were collected one of the others in the area had all but dropped into the water – there certainly must have been many ghosts at large tonight!
You will find a couple of photos from tonight at http://www.orienteeringauckland.org.nz/assets/Uploads/20191031Pt-England-photos.pdf
