It was another busy night at Cornwall Park on a hot and humid evening, last night. Thank you to Nicholas for setting the courses for us. Also thank you to all competitors for trying to work within the rules we have had to impose. We particularly appreciate you wearing a mask before your run until you have passed through the start chute.
We reached our limit of entries for both time slots last night so unfortunately we are going to have to ask people to only run the one course that they have pre-entered while we are having to run under limited numbers. Otherwise, we will exceed the allowed numbers out on the second time slot. Also should you find you are not going to be able to come after you have pre-entered, please can you send an email to auckoc@gmail.com or if it is on the afternoon of the event send a text to 021 1152727 so we can free up your place. We know of some people who missed out last night when they tried to enter late. This is unfortunate but unavoidable, however it would be a shame if spaces really were available.
Next week the event is again on WEDNESDAY (9th) at Monte Cecelia Park, with entry up Delargey Ave off Hillsborough Rd. A few people have had trouble locating the pre-entry form. The link is always on the home page of the Auckland Orienteering Club website, in the event line under Coming Events, beneath the COVID information.
A link to the calendar of events for this year will also be put on the website, immediately under the Coming Events heading within the next 24hours. It is a little late this year with all the uncertainty but that does not mean planning has not been happening!
